This year we did a quick 7 day road trip down the South Coast of Western Australia. We hired a Britz Camper van and headed south from Perth without any agenda. Margaret River was our favourite spot, with a good mix of warmer weather and lots to see and do. Peaceful Bay near Albany was beautiful, and we scored a lobster from the guys are the Peaceful Bay store. We weren’t setup to go off-road, so we stayed on the bitumen for the most part and we still feel there is plenty we need to come back again to see.
Enjoy! L & H

This week we are in the Bungle Bungles in Western Australia. These ancient rocks are what is left from a underwater world, before even dinosaurs were around.
The walking was pretty hard going, and the weather was hot, so we stayed for two days and then continued to head to the East.

This week we are at the Willie Creek Pearl Farm, north of Broome in Western Australia. Pearls are grown inside oyster shells and take two years to grow. The shells can be used up to four times and each time the make a bigger pearl. So the really big pearls take at least eight years to grow.
We had heaps of fun at this place, so we hope you like it too.

In this weeks episode we travel to the Dampier Peninsula at the top of Western Australia. We stay in an Aboriginal Community and also get up close with some of the wildlife.

This week we are off to Windjana Gorge in Western Australia. The huge limestone rocks are all that remain from an ancient under water reef system. We saw more fresh water crocodiles than anywhere on the trip.
One of the people staying in our camp also saw a 20 foot long scrub python on a night walk!
We hope you enjoy it!
